Declaration and undertaking

Version 2026-10-18. This text is a first version and may be updated. We keep a record of your agreement (date, version and the network address you used).

Everyone who creates an account, opens a shop or applies to drive accepts this declaration. Please read the part for your role and the data-sharing consent.

Customer undertaking

As a customer, I undertake that:

  1. My name, phone number, delivery address and map location are correct, and I will be reachable when my order arrives.
  2. I understand that shops and drivers are independent. Darna is a marketplace that connects us and is not the seller of the goods.
  3. I will tell the shop about any allergy or dietary need before ordering. The shop is responsible for describing its ingredients.
  4. I will pay the full price and delivery fee for what I order, in cash on delivery or by bank transfer when the shop offers it, and I will not make false claims or misuse refunds.
  5. I will treat shops and drivers with respect and use their contact details only for my order.
  6. Darna may suspend or close my account for fraud, abuse, repeated no-shows or breaking the terms.

Shop undertaking

As a shop owner, I undertake that:

  1. Every detail and document I submit (licences, contact details, bank details) is true, valid and belongs to me, and I will update it when it changes.
  2. I hold every licence and permit my activity needs, including any home-business or food-safety permit required by the authorities in my emirate, and I am responsible for keeping them valid.
  3. I will describe my products honestly (price, ingredients, allergens, availability), prepare and pack them hygienically and safely, and hand them over as described.
  4. I am solely responsible for the goods I sell, including complaints, injury or damage they cause. I will compensate Darna for any claim or loss that arises from my goods or from my breaking this declaration.
  5. I run an independent business. I am not an employee, partner or agent of Darna.
  6. After the 30-day free trial I will pay the monthly subscription by bank transfer (currently AED 49). Darna takes no commission on orders and will announce any change in advance.
  7. I will use customer and driver details only to fulfil orders, keep them confidential, and never share them or use them for marketing.
  8. I am responsible for my own taxes and for following UAE law, including consumer protection rules.
  9. Darna may suspend or close my shop for fraud, unsafe goods, repeated unanswered orders or breaking the terms.

Driver undertaking

As a driver (or a company adding drivers), I undertake that:

  1. My driving licence, vehicle registration and photo are true and valid, I will keep them valid, and my vehicle is roadworthy and insured as UAE law requires.
  2. I work as an independent contractor, not as an employee of Darna. I am responsible for my fuel, insurance, traffic fines, taxes and any accident or damage caused while I deliver.
  3. I will obey traffic laws, drive safely, not use my phone while driving, and carry orders carefully and sealed, on time and in good condition.
  4. I will set honest delivery fees and never ask a customer for extra money.
  5. I will handle cash honestly and hand over the cash I collect to Darna as settled in the app. I am liable for any shortfall and for goods lost or damaged through my fault.
  6. I will use customer details only to complete the delivery. I will not keep, copy, share or use them afterwards, and I will not open or tamper with orders.
  7. A company is responsible for the drivers it adds.
  8. Darna may suspend or close my driver account for fraud, unsafe driving, cash shortfalls or breaking the terms.

Consent to share data with Darna (everyone)

By accepting, I confirm that:

  1. Darna may collect, store and use my personal data and any documents I upload, for the purposes in the Privacy policy: running orders and deliveries, verifying shops and drivers, settling payments, preventing fraud and handling complaints.
  2. Darna may share the data needed for an order (name, phone number, delivery address and order details) with the shop and driver involved in that order, and may share data with banks, payment and technology providers working for Darna, and with UAE authorities when the law requires it.
  3. Darna does not sell my data. Uploaded documents are private and are seen only by authorised Darna staff, and each view is logged.
  4. I may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting my account from the My account page. Darna may keep records that the law or accounting requires, without my personal details where possible.
  5. The information I give is true and complete, and I will tell Darna if it changes.
