Who we are
Darna connects customers in the UAE with local shops, home businesses and drivers. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
Account details: name, email and phone number. Orders: items, delivery address, optional map pin and notes. For drivers: driving licence, vehicle registration and a personal photo. For companies: the trade licence. For shops: an optional trade or home-business licence. Bank account (IBAN) details if you add them to receive money. If a shop accepts bank transfers, its account holder name, bank and IBAN are shown to customers who choose to pay it that way.
How we use it
To run your orders and deliveries, verify drivers and shops, settle cash on delivery balances, prevent fraud and handle complaints and refunds.
Who can see it
A shop sees what it needs to prepare an order. A driver sees the pickup and drop-off details and the customer's phone number only for jobs they have taken. Uploaded documents are private and only Darna admin staff can open them; every view is logged. We do not sell your data.
Keeping it
We keep records as long as needed for orders, accounting and legal duties in the UAE. Verification documents (such as a driving licence or a trade licence) are used only to check eligibility, are visible only to the Darna team, and are kept while your account is active and as long as the law requires afterwards. You can delete your account yourself from the My account page: your name, phone number and email are removed and you can no longer sign in, while order records stay for accounting without your personal details. You can also ask us to correct or delete your data, except records we must keep by law.
Your agreement and sharing data
When you create an account, open a shop or apply to drive, you accept the Terms of use, this Privacy policy and the Declaration and undertaking, and you consent to Darna collecting your data and sharing it as described here: the details needed for an order go to the shop and driver involved, and data may go to banks, payment and technology providers working for Darna and to UAE authorities when the law requires it. We keep a record of your agreement (date, version and the network address you used). You can withdraw your consent by deleting your account.
